Hey there! I am an AI/Computer Vision researcher based near Montreal, Canada. With a track record of nine years in active research and publishing and 3 years in the start-up space, I am dedicated both in pushing the boundaries of image technologies and fostering collaboration among diverse talents. My research interests lies in improving how we blend virtual and real content (Augmented reality) using recent AI technologies. I am deeply committed to exploring novel avenues for enhancing control over image generation, leveraging our comprehensive knowledge of physical processes from the graphics field.
I completed my PhD at Université Laval in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department under the guidance of Professor Jean-François Lalonde and Professor Denis Laurendau in 2021. Throughout my academic journey, I gained valuable experience through internships at renowned institutions such as Adobe Research and Facebook Reality Labs (now Meta). In 2021, I embarked on a new venture by co-founding Depix , a pioneering startup in the field of generative AI and computer vision.
My research led to various publications to top tier international conferences and journals including CVPR, ECCV, TVCG, and ISMAR and permeated to the industry through patent filings. While serving as CTO/Tech Lead at Depix under the guidance of seasoned entrepreneurs, I've been instrumental in forming a research and engineering team, establishing an IP portfolio comprising six patents/licenses, and forging collaborations with research laboratories. This experience has equipped me with invaluable insights into the various levers enabling early-stage startups to strategize and execute the development of innovative solutions.
